Up first is Pearl. I have her pegged definitely as a hen. She bares no tall tail feathers, her comb is small and she is at the bottom of the pecking order. Yes, female for sure.
The only other chicken I'm pretty sure may be a rooster is one of the chanteclers. They all look the same, are the same size but some have bigger tales than others. They all have the same reddish face and no comb (the breed is suppose to have small combs).
Then finally, we have our Brahma's.
So there you have it. That's not all twenty chickens but just the ones we are still guessing on who they are. Hopefully, it won't be long now before we know for sure. There seems to be an awful lot of "chatter" amongst the chickens which I thought hens were suppose to be quiet unless they are laying. And noone's laying. I could have a flock of roosters tuning their vocal chords for all I know.
