When we first went to meet our new mini, Dreamer, one of the first questions out of our mouth was "Is she pregnant?" She was so big, but not pear shaped as most mares are when you think of a pregnant mare, so we took his word for it when he said, "No, if she were, she would have had it by now." However, she had been out with a stallion about a year ago so he didn't rule it out, though highly doubted it. He had since sold the stallion but she has been running with her colt which is about 18 months old which I think is still too young but nevertheless, her extended udder had me questioning again whether she was pregnant or not. This is the back end. To be honest, at first sight I thought it was a tumour. And who knows, maybe it is. But this is the side view showing her teats. More views. If I were a betting woman, I`d say this mare is about to foal within a couple weeks. But since I ain`t, I`ll just keep my fingers crossed and a clean stall. Maybe my next post will be introducing our first foal born to the farm ever!!

I love buying new animals for the farm. It's an addiction. I probably should get help for it. But meanwhile...... This here is Pixie, a beautiful miniature mare. I`ve always wanted a cute little white pony. And this little lady is Dreamer. We`ve got our fingers crossed that both females are pregnant. We would so love to have foals in the spring! And lastly thought I`d share some puppy photos! Marnie`s puppies are growing so fast and are already 4 weeks old.
