I looked out my window last night and saw a dark sky rolling in over the barns. I told hubby something was coming and he said, "Ya, nightime." However, the dark sky was coming in from the lake, east of us, rather from the west.
Sure enough, twenty minutes later, it started raining. Yay, the first of the season! Anyway, today I headed down to the small pasture and began clearing this.
To reveal what lied beneath.
I planned on removing this little table structure but then thought it would create some shelter for chicken or turkey or maybe a goat. At least it would be something for a goat to climb. Not sure though if it sits to close to the fence. Can goats leap that far? I'm thinking they just might. So for now, we're using it for the mini.
And no worries he's all alone in there. The other horses aren't too far off.
We had a bonfire with the branches and twigs...and enough for the remainder of the summer.
Yesterday as I was surfing farm blogs, I noticed a theme. So many people were finding new growth in their gardens. Jealous, I went out and started digging through my messy beds and guess what I found lying beneath them?
Yay, spring is coming! Can't wait! Happy Spring Blossom!
