Chloe has been home a week now and has settled nicely. Truthfully, she didn't even blink an eye. She moved onto our farm as if she had been here a gazillion times before. There was no funny business on her part, no unsettleness, no anxieties, no worries whatsoever. We put her in the small pen next to the larger pen that we had set up for the minis. We thought it best to introduce her to the horses slowly and safely from the other side of the fence.
When we introduced the minis to Chase and Aussie, Chase was not happy about all the new horses invading his pasture. Aussie loved each and everyone of them but Chase was not a happy horse. He stomped, trampled, bit and chased them around the pasture. He eventually came around and realized they weren`t going anywhere and better to accept them then be put into a stall, but it made us cautious about introducing anymore horses. So Chloe went into the safety of the small pasture to meet her new herd.
Today, after a week of quietness and calm horses, we decided to introduce them in the same pasture. We started with Chase, the alpha horse. This is how it went.

Yes, that`s Chase and Chloe grazing happily together. He didn`t so much as neigh at her, it was as if they had known each other forever. Next we brought in the others horses and they all went about their thing without a care in the world. I have great horses and am so pleased with them.
We also decided to ride Chloe for the first time today. Farm Girl went up first naturally. She tests all our new horses.
But there really was no reason, Chloe was the perfect bombproof horse we were promised. Next my oldest was able to ride her horse which she was so thrilled to do and Chloe couldn't have been more well behaved.
Even I jumped on her back and admittedly was jealous my own horse wasn't as perfect.
Actually, we all rode her today and Chloe acted like a pro and walked around the yard giving us a nice little ride.
I love perfect horse days, they make owning horses so rewarding.
